Impact

With key statistics showing women are more likely to suffer from depression and/or anxiety, we decided to work with women exclusively to build a space for them to be around others in a similar position. And to help create positive environments where we can feel supported and given the space to grow together.

Spending time outdoors, especially in green spaces, is one of the fastest ways to improve your health and happiness. It’s been shown to lower stress, blood pressure and heart rate, while encouraging physical activity and buoying mood and mental health.    (www.time.com)

Just 30 minutes of gardening can burn around 150 calories! That’s the same as doing low impact aerobics?

And spending as little as 15 minutes a day out in the sunshine can also build up your levels of vitamin D, which is essential for healthy teeth and bones.

Women who have accessed the projects have reported having - Higher self-esteem  *  Better sleep * More energy * Stronger resilience * A sense of purpose * Happier.

Recently you told us it would be helpful to provide some links to other organisations for you or others you think may need support - so we’ve compiled just a few we think could be good starting points.
